The Purple Heart Hunting Program is more than just a hunting program. It was started as a moose mitigation program on the Ft. Greely Army Base in Alaska and has since grown into a top-notch nonprofit organization that benefits 100% disabled Purple Heart veterans. By providing these veterans with the opportunity to hunt, the program helps them heal and find camaraderie while also contributing to conservation efforts.

Opportunities for Disabled Veterans Since 2011
Our mission is to provide hunting opportunities for 100% disabled veterans, who are Purple Heart Medal recipients. We believe that hunting can be a therapeutic and healing experience for our veterans, and we are committed to making it accessible to those who have sacrificed so much for our country.
The PHHP is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that has hosted over 50 disabled veterans since the program first began, and has successfully maintained a 100% success rate of harvesting moose in the Delta Junction area thanks to the DM795 hunting permit.

What We Offer
Moose Hunting
We provide six moose hunting tags to 100% disabled Purple Heart medal recipients via a lottery application system through the ADF&G. The hunting tag is for the DM795 Delta Junction Management area.
Accompanied Hunts
Our experienced pro-staff can provide you with a memorable, once-in-a-lifetime hunting experience. Join us for a moose hunt in the beautiful wilderness of Delta Junction, Alaska!
Hunting Trips
Join us for the hunting trip of a lifetime. We offer a variety of authentic, rustic Alaskan hunting trips, including moose, caribou, and black bear hunts. Contact us for additional information.
