Volunteer & Donate
The Purple Heart Hunting Program is dedicated to providing healing and recreational opportunities to military veterans and Purple Heart recipients through organized hunting experiences. We believe in the therapeutic power of nature and camaraderie, offering our heroes the chance to reconnect and relax. Our outings are designed to foster a sense of community, support mental and physical well-being, and create lasting memories.
Donate:
Your financial contributions help us cover the costs of organizing hunts, securing locations, and ensuring the safety and comfort of our participants. Every dollar counts and directly impacts the lives of our brave service members.
Gear and Supplies:
We are always in need of high-quality hunting gear and supplies. Your donations of equipment such as hunting apparel and other outdoor essentials are crucial to the success of our program. Your generosity ensures our veterans have the best possible experience.
Volunteer:
Our program thrives thanks to the dedication and passion of our volunteers. Whether you can contribute your time as a hunting guide, help with event organization, or provide administrative support, your efforts are invaluable. Volunteering with us is a rewarding way to give back to those who have given so much for our country.

Support Ruth Cusack on Her Journey to Recovery
Ruth Cusack, a passionate outdoorswoman, dedicated conservationist, and devoted supporter of the Purple Heart Hunting Program, needs our help.
Alongside her husband, Louis, Ruth has been a driving force behind the Alaska Chapter of Safari Club International (SCI), tirelessly raising millions of dollars to support conservation efforts, hunting education, and veteran programs like SCI’s Warriors on Safari. Their unwavering commitment has directly benefited countless disabled veterans, including those served by the Purple Heart Hunting Program. Without their partnership and support, our mission would be much harder to achieve.
On September 27th, Ruth suffered a devastating brain aneurysm, followed by a series of medical challenges, including a stroke and several intensive procedures. Although she is fighting her way toward recovery, the road ahead is long and costly. Ruth’s rehabilitation requires specialized care at a facility outside Alaska, and her family is facing significant financial burdens, including medevac transport, medical bills, and associated expenses not covered by insurance.
We invite you to join us in giving back to Ruth and Louis, who have given so much to the veteran and conservation communities. Please consider supporting Ruth’s recovery by contributing to her GoFundMe fundraiser. Together, we can help ease the burden for this extraordinary couple during their time of need.
